As the name suggests, Junk Rescue Pinellas was founded in Pinellas County Florida by yours truly a local Firefighter. For those who do not know most firefighters work a 24/48 schedule, which means we work 24-hour shifts on duty followed by 48 hours off duty. Most firefighter have a second job everything from pressure washing, painting, tree trimming, and even real estate agents. Most of us would tell you that we own our own small business due to the extra time we have, but the reality is that public service careers are not always the highest paying! None ever gets into public service for the pay we do it for the love of our community and for the free cool shirts.
Why Junk?
Believe it or not, I have never really held a passion for junk or trash. But what I do hold a passion for is people! From my teenage years of serving tables, to my early twenties of Serving in the US ARMY as an Infantryman I have always been in the service industry. When I am at the Fire station and a call comes in you expect an expert, and a professional to show up at your door ready to solve any problems. The great thing about junk removal is those same characteristics carry over. You expect an expert, and professional to solve whatever clutter it is ruining your day. The best part about junk removal though is that its normally not life or death which helps a lot with the stress factors.
The Family Man
We are approaching the end of this blog post but before its done, lets meet the family. The young man you see to the right is my youngest of three boys! Ages 8 months, 2 years, and 12 years. An of course my lovely wife. When we say we are a family owned and operated business we mean it. I also include all my brothers and sisters are the fire dept. Thats a big family!
